U.S. Congressman John Dingell Visits Monroe Environmental

Monroe, MI – U.S. Congressman John Dingell, Representative of Michigan’s 15th District, visited Monroe Environmental today to learn more about the company’s exciting emergence in new multi-national markets that utilize their broad lines of water and air pollution control systems. Monroe Environmental, a leading environmental equipment manufacturer in Monroe, MI, has been successfully identifying and selling in markets that were previously outside of the firm’s scope of supply, including municipal water and wastewater treatment plants as well as a variety of industrial markets.
For over 35 years, the firm had relied on business from the automotive market as its main source of revenue. When that business waned during the mid-to-late 2000s, the company quickly began marketing to a broader base of potential customers and is now enjoying unprecedented success as a result. Congressman Dingell was on hand to speak with members from the organization and offer his support and congratulations for their emergence from the trying times of the automotive downturn into a new era of growth. Dingell toured Monroe’s engineering and manufacturing facility before addressing the employees in the firm’s largest manufacturing bay.

John Dingell is the longest serving Representative in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives. His congressional district includes all of Monroe County as well as parts of Wayne and Washtenaw Counties in southeastern Michigan.
