Monroe Environmental Sponsored RiverBots II Competition at River Raisin National Park

Monroe, MI – Over 60 teams competed at the RiverBots II VRC Over Under Blended Signature Event at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park, December 15-16 in Monroe, MI. RiverBots II is the only Signature Event in MI and the only one at a National Park. Monroe Environmental is proud to have sponsored and participated in this educational and fun event for kids.
With two days of teams competing for both judged and tournament awards, the event was for Middle and High School students with excellence awards for both divisions.
Monroe Environmental’s Welding and Quality Engineer, Mike Mohn, runs the Team Virus: 3547 program at Monroe County Community College and served as Event Coordinator. Monroe’s Sales Director Adam Pace delivered a motivating speech to the robotics teams and potential engineers of the future.
The River Raisin National Battlefield Park preserves the site of the Battle of Frenchtown as the only national battlefield marking a site of the War of 1812. This is the second year that the event has been held at this location.
